Job Description:
As a Fishmonger at Scallop Shack Farms, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our customers receive top-quality seafood and excellent service. This dynamic position encompasses various responsibilities within our establishment, from preparing out of the box readymade foods to filleting fish to assisting customers with their purchases. This will be a seasonal position with potential to become year-round. We are small business looking to grow and we are looking for people to grow with us. You may also be required to work the front counter on an as needed basis as a sales associate. Flexibility is a must with a small business!

Job Description:
Join our team at Scallop Shack Farms, where you'll have the opportunity to play multiple roles and contribute to our mission of delivering top-notch products and service to our customers. We're seeking versatile individuals who are passionate about seafood, dedicated to excellence, and thrive in a dynamic environment. This will be a seasonal position primarily on the weekends. Responsibilities:
· Drive to each farmers market using company vehicle.
· Set up and maintain an attractive and organized display of our seafood products at farmers markets and other offsite retail events.
· Engage with customers to promote our products, answer questions, and provide information about sourcing and sustainability.
· Process customer transactions using cash registers or mobile payment systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
· Assist with packaging seafood products and ensuring proper storage and handling procedures.
· Loading and unloading vehicles, as well as transporting merchandise to and from the market venue.
· Collaborate with ownership to always ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record
· Able to lift 50-100lbs (coolers of seafood)
· Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers in a positive and helpful manner.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
· Knowledge of seafood handling is a plus, but not required.
